Reflections from Patients & Colleagues

Compassionate, evidence-informed care that honors your whole spectrum. Here’s what clients are saying.

The work at Radiance Healthcare unfolds over time. Many people come during moments of transition—chronic illness, life change, creative threshold, or recovery—and remain because the care supports sustainable, integrated healing.

What follows are reflections from individuals who have worked with Dr. Satya Shiva across clinical care, guided cleansing, Panchakarma retreats, and long-term integrative support.

Working with Dr. Satya has changed my life. I have done a number of seasonal cleanses, as well as 2 Panchakarma retreats with her, 1 private and one group. After each cleanse, I feel a renewal of energy, and have established new life-long routines that allow for greater attunement to my natural energy levels.

After this last PK I lost and kept off 15 pounds, reduced inflammation, and dealt with some core emotional hang ups that has been holding me back. I feel amazing. I used to get sick ALOT, and since working with Satya the frequency in which I become sick has drastically reduced. I know it has a lot to do with the habits ive formed and the benefits from cleansing.

I love her integrative approach to working with people. I feel lucky to know her and to have been cared for by her in extremely vulnerable spaces in regards to my health and spiritual wellbeing. I love working with her so much, I have recommended to her to many of my friends, and even encouraged my mother to do PK with her. Dr. Satya is a rare jewel of poise, grace, wisdom, and transformational leadership. If you have the opportunity to work with her, DO IT!

The work I have done over the years with Dr. Satya Shiva at Radiance Healthcare has been nothing short of life-changing. I have worked with Satya in a variety of modalities, from regular weekly sessions to address sleep and digestive issues, to participating in a 5-day Panchakarma retreat organized by Satya and her team. Perhaps most importantly, Satya attended the birth of my son as my doula and acupuncturist, providing support before, during, and after the birth.

Satya’s approach is truly holistic, addressing every level of concern and the full complex of symptoms one might be experiencing. I always felt like all my concerns were addressed, and I would consistently leave sessions feeling tangibly better than when I came in, whether she was treating sleep-deprivation, back pain, or morning sickness and other pregnancy-related symptoms. Satya has the rare ability to be able to tune into exactly where one is experiencing pain to be able to treat it directly. Although massage therapy is not her primary modality, I maintain without reserve that Satya gives the best and most effective massages I have ever experienced.

It would not be too much to say that the Panchakarma retreat I experienced with Satya and her team left me feeling more relaxed and rejuvenated than I have felt in years, while also looking visibly ten years younger than when I arrived five days prior. I partially attribute the easy conception of my child to the cleansing and healing of this Panchakarma retreat. As my birth doula, Satya was a consistent support throughout the pregnancy, especially when I was struggling with nausea and insomnia. After I passed my birth due date, Satya’s treatments for natural labor induction helped initiate labor within just an hour and a half of her completing the treatment. Her beautiful, calm presence throughout the labor and afterwards was a profound support both medically and emotionally.

The unique combination of healing services that Satya offers is unlike anything I have found with any other practitioners. I unequivocally recommend working with her, whether to treat a specific ailment or symptom, for ongoing health and well-being, or for as major a life experience as birthing a child. If the world had more healers like Dr. Satya Shiva, I believe we would be living in a better world indeed.

It’s a once in a lifetime blessing to meet a health practitioner like Dr. Satya. I’ve done two integrative Panchakarma retreats with her and she has been my consistent resource for the past five + years for acupuncture, TCM, and overall health maintenance. I have navigated chronic pain my entire adult life, and shortly after the first Panchakarma my severe chronic headaches stopped entirely, which was a true miracle in my life.

The combination of wisdom, expertise, thoroughness, care, patience, and brilliance that Dr. Satya’s weaves into her practice is extremely rare. Her level of integrity is impeccable and I trust her completely. This trust is essential because my body is able to relax in her presence (and in her hands!) in a way that allows for deep opening and transformation.

Dr. Satya is a true conduit of healing. She holds a loving, compassionate presence in her work and is devoted to supporting healing on all levels of the being. Anyone seeking to transform their state of health and wellbeing from the inside out would be very wise — and incredibly fortunate — to work with Dr. Satya.

My experience with Dr. Satya was truly life-changing. She is a rare healer whose care radiates compassion and wisdom. Her acupuncture treatments, soothing massage and cupping, Ayurvedic therapies, and the full spectrum of her healing practices left me feeling not just better—but profoundly renewed, like my body and spirit had been realigned.

She guided me through overcoming a stubborn bacterial infection in my large intestine that had been causing persistent skin issues, using herbs and holistic care that brought deep and lasting relief. Her patience, presence, and intuitive understanding of the body supported me in ways I had never experienced before.

The time I spent under Dr. Satya’s care remains among the best health experiences of my life. Though she has moved from Nevada City, I often dream of her return. I’m even considering traveling to see her in LA or Hawaii, where she now shares her gifts.

Please come back to Nevada City, Satya—your healing hands and heart are dearly missed!
