About Dr. Satya

Dr. Satya Dakshina Shiva is an integrative health practitioner with a multifaceted healing career spanning over 25 years and specializing in Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Panchakarma, and Tibetan Buddhist Meditation.

Her attentive, intuitive, and integrative approach to health and wellness unites Eastern medical modalities with modern practices to promote prevention and longevity and help her patients recover and liberate their unique and natural expression of Radiant Health.

Doctor of Oriental Medicine

Dr. Satya Shiva holds the highest academic credentials in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, having completed her Doctoral research on the impact of TCM modalities on the endocannabinoid system to modulate pain and inflammation. She earned her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University and a Doctorate at YoSan University. As a licensed acupuncturist in California (#17184) and nationally in the USA (#NCC165784), Dr. Satya specializes in treatments for digestive regulation, pain and inflammation recovery, emotional balance, stress relief, healthy aging, and longevity.

Dr. Satya’s 1-1 Radiant Life Coaching is a long-term, immersive training journey that evolves with each client. This extended coaching relationship provides a dynamic framework where Dr. Satya integrates her extensive knowledge of Oriental Medicine, Ayurveda, meditation, and holistic lifestyle practices. Meditation Mindset

As a meditation educator and a dedicated practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism, Dr. Satya strongly advocates for meditation methods at all phases and stages of healing.

Dr. Satya has been a personal student of Tibetan Buddhist scholar and teacher, Lama Pema Khandro PhD, since 2001, as well as an educator and leader within the Buddhist Studies Institute, a non-profit organization focused on preserving the philosophy and practices of Tibet’s Buddhist Yogis.

Since 2017, Dr. Satya has co-led the annual 200-hour Meditation Instructor Training with Lama Pema Khandro PhD, and Aruna Rig’dzin. Together they have certified hundreds of meditation instructors worldwide, and soon expand their reach with advanced meditation training and Buddhist Chaplaincy certificate training.

Integrative Panchakarma Retreats

Dr. Satya is a NAMA-certified Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP) with training from the California College of Ayurveda and advanced training with the Yogic Medicine Institute. She has over 22 years of specialized experience in Panchakarma, the detoxification and rejuvenation therapy of the Himalayan yogis.

In partnership with the Yogic Medicine Institute, Dr. Satya tailors integrative wellness retreats worldwide for private individuals and groups. Under Dr. Satya’s guidance and care, participants undergo the ancient Ayurvedic processes that promote cellular regeneration, metabolic balance, and overall physiological harmony. Her unique approach, grounded in evidence-based research, and combined with deep somatic listening, reverence, awareness meditation, and innate prayer, creates a rich opportunity for transformative experiences.

Adventure Radiance

Dr. Satya brings her integrative health expertise to the world of travel and exploration through “Adventure Radiance,” guiding individuals in maintaining optimal wellness during pilgrimage, world travel, and the digital nomad lifestyle. Drawing on her extensive personal experience managing self-care during pilgrimage and world travel, she provides practical, adaptable strategies for staying balanced, energized, and healthy while navigating the challenges of an ever-changing environment.

Whether journeying through bustling cities, remote natural landscapes, or sacred sites, Dr. Satya’s holistic approach includes nutrition advice, travel-friendly herbal remedies, mindful movement practices, and tips for overcoming jet lag and travel-related stress.
